About Resound
ReSound, a Danish hearing aid manufacturer founded in 1943 as Danavox, is renowned for its innovative contributions to hearing technology. In 1992, ReSound launched the first commercially available hearing aid with digital sound processing. The ReSound Air, introduced in 2003, marked a significant advancement with its open-fit design, providing high-quality sound correction along with physical and acoustic comfort.
In 2014, ReSound released the LiNX, the first Made for iPhone hearing aid, which connected directly to Bluetooth devices without additional streaming accessories. This innovation cemented ReSound’s reputation as a leader in the industry.
ReSound continues to push the boundaries of hearing technology. The 2018 launch of the LiNX Quattro family set new standards for hearing aids, and in 2019, ReSound integrated Artificial Intelligence and Siri into the Quattro line, further enhancing user experience.
As pioneers of several groundbreaking technologies, ReSound introduced open-fit hearing aids and developed Wide Dynamic Range Compression (WDRC) to improve sound processing and Digital Feedback Suppression (DFS) to reduce feedback. Their consistent advancements have made ReSound one of the top five hearing aid manufacturers globally, acclaimed for their ongoing commitment to innovation and superior hearing solutions.

What Makes ReSound Unique?
Organic Hearing Philosophy
At the core of its design and development philosophy is Organic Hearing. Organic hearing can be explained by three areas:
- Sounds natural: Emulates natural hearing processes to help focus on conversations and locate sounds in noisy environments, utilizing unique ear shapes for a natural experience.
- Feels natural: Offers all-day comfort with ergonomic, weatherproof designs and easy rechargeability, minimizing physical effort.
- Connects naturally: Integrates seamlessly with daily interactions, allowing music listening and mobile calls like wireless earbuds, with personalized app support and remote care.
Future Proof Connectivity
Resound has been at the forefront of connectivity since 2014 when they brought direct streaming to the market via their LiNX platform. More than 10 years on, Resound continues to lead the way with Nexia, being the first hearing aid platform to support Auracast and Bluetooth LE Audio protocols, which provides significant improvements to functionality of connected devices, sound quality and accessibility even in public places.
M&RIE Receiver
Standard hearing aids position microphones on top of the main body, collecting sound behind your ears before channelling it into your ear canal.
M&RIE (Microphone and Receiver-in-Ear) hearing aids feature an additional microphone placed with a receiver in your ear. This setup leverages the unique shape of your pinna (the curved part of your ear) to naturally collect sound directly in your ear. Additionally, two microphones on top of the M&RIE hearing aids gather ambient sounds, providing you with a total of three microphones per hearing aid.
The in-ear microphone allows you to experience the natural sounds of your surroundings while minimizing overpowering wind noise.

Hearing Tests From an Independent Hearing Test Centre
Focus Hearing gives you a complete understanding of your hearing ability through a consultation, including looking at your hearing history, health, and a full diagnostic test.
This is the only proper way how to check hearing loss, not with a quick 15-minute ‘screening test’ offered by some centres.
