About Beltone
Beltone was originally founded in Chicago in 1940, after Sam and Faye Rosen engineered hearing aids in order to help a friend who had hearing loss. In 1950, Beltone introduced a behind-the-ear model hearing aid, with in-the-ear (ITE) models arriving in the 1960’s and Digital technology debuting in the 1990’s. Today, Beltone is owned by Danish GN Hearing group, and offers a broad product line serving all levels of hearing loss.

What Makes Beltone Unique?
M&RIE receiver technology
Most traditional hearing aids include microphones located in the behind the ear component. Whilst this has been the tried-and-tested way of capturing sound, locating the sound behind the ear presents certain challenges, especially when there is substantial wind.
Beltone hearing aids include a groundbreaking new design in receiver technology, known as the M&RIE (pronounced Marie). This approach an additional microphone in the ear as well as the traditional microphone placement behind the ear, offering users a more natural sound quality.
